Terms & Conditions

Payment Terms

Payment is required within five days of booking to secure your enrolment.  Your registration(s) will be automatically cancelled if payment is not received within this time. Bank transfers take up to 3 days, so we recommend paying by credit card via Paypal to ensure that your registration(s) within the course(s) is confirmed. Cheques are no longer accepted. If you are enrolling within five days of the course commencing, please pay immediately to secure your place. 


Cancellation, Transfers, and Registrant Change Policies

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be made five or more working days before the start date of the course to be eligible for a full refund.  Cancellations made after this time will not be eligible for a refund.

Please email hello@dunedinwea.org.nz to discuss any credits or refunds. Credits and refunds are at DWEA’s discretion, and under exceptional circumstances, a 100% refund may be considered.

Transfers:

  • You can transfer a registrant to another course up to 5 working days prior to the event start date.  You will be charged or refunded any differences in the course prices.
  • You are not able to transfer registrants to another course within 4 working days of the original course start date.

Registrant change:

  • You can change the registrant on a course to another person at any time.


Entry and Eligibility to Courses

Dunedin WEA courses are provided and funded for adults, aged 18 years and over. Children are not eligible to enrol in these courses.


Missed classes due to sickness or other reasons

If a student misses a class in their course due to sickness or some other valid reason such as bereavement, please advise us and a make-up or replacement class may be offered, according to tutor availability.

 

Course Cancellations by DWEA

If an event does not reach minimum numbers, or for some other unavoidable reason is cancelled, the fee will be refunded in full.
