Payment Terms

Payment is required at least 7 days prior to the course start date.  Your registration(s) is not confirmed until payment is received.  Bank transfers take up to 3 days, so we recommend paying by credit card via Paypal to ensure that your registration(s) within the course(s) is confirmed. Cheques are no longer accepted. Unfortunately, if payment is not received at least 7 days before your course starts, your enrolment may be cancelled.

 

Cancellation, Transfers, and Registrant Change Policies

Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the course start date: 90% refund, or 100% credit to be used within 12 months
  • Cancellations within 3-6 days of the course start date: 50% refund, or credit to be used with in 12 months
  • Cancellations within 2 days of the course start date or after the event has started: no refund or credit

Credits and refunds are at DWEA’s discretion, and under exceptional circumstances, a 100% refund may be considered.

 

Transfers:

  • You can transfer a registrant to another course up to 3 days prior to the event start date.  You will be charged or refunded any differences in the course prices.
  • You are not able to transfers registrants to another course within 2 days of the original course start date.

 

Registrant change:

  • You can change the registrant on a course to another person at any time.

 

Entry and Eligibility to Courses

Dunedin WEA courses are provided and funded for adults, past school age. Children are not eligible to enrol in these courses.

 

Missed classes due to sickness or other reasons

If a student misses a class in their course due to sickness or some other valid reason such as bereavement, please advise us and a make-up or replacement class may be offered, according to tutor availability.

 

Course Cancellations by DWEA

If an event does not reach minimum numbers, or for some other unavoidable reason is cancelled, the fee will be refunded in full.
